What are the departure times?
Fløibanen runs every 15 minutes. There will be extra departures directly to Fløyen during popular travel times. Before 10:00 and after 19:00 we have departures every whole and half hour. The last departure from the city station and Fløyen is at midnight.
How long is the queue for Fløibanen?
Fløibanen departs as often as every 5 minutes, and each carriage can carry 90–100 people. The busiest time is between 10-14. During this period, you can expect a waiting time of approximately 15–20 minutes before it's your turn. We recommend purchasing your ticket in advance for a smoother experience.
When does Fløibanen stop at the intermediate stations?
Fløibanen stops at the intermediate stations every full and half hour. If you are getting off at Proms Gate, you must be seated in the top compartment.
From June 15 – August 31, Fløibanen only stops at the intermediate stations every full hour between 9:00 and 15:00. Before 9:00 and after 15:00, Fløibanen stops at the intermediate stations every full and half hour as usual.
Where is the ticket office located?
Our ticket office is located at the city station of the Fløibanen funicular. We recommend to buy your tickets here on the website or in our app Fløibanen, as you can skip the queue to the ticket office.
