We are open every day all year round. There are special opening hours for easter, christmas, New Year and Public Holidays.
A trip on Fløibanen is an adventure in itself. The journey takes 5–8 minutes and brings visitors to the summit of Fløyen (320 m above sea level) with its fantastic views over Bergen. View webcam.
The top of Fløyen boasts beautiful countryside with a wide choice of walks of all lengths. There are waymarked paths and a hiking map is available.
Fløibanen’s lower station is just 150 m from Fisketorget – the fish market – and Bryggen wharf.
There is no need to book in advance as each of Fløibanen’s carriages can carry up to 100 passengers.Two carriages, run continuously, so waiting time is minimal even at times of high demand.
Fløien Folkerestaurant at the summit is a good option for lunch or dinner, both for groups and individuals.
Fløistuen Shop and Café is available for souvenirs and delicious pastries, which you can enjoy there or take away.

Groups of 10 or more can book a guided walking tour of Fløyen.
This is an excellent walk suitable for most people – all you need is a good pair of walking shoes. The walk is on paths through easy terrain, and takes in forests, mountains, idyllic small lakes and beautiful views. Along the way you’ll learn about local history, the Norwegian hiking tradition and much more. The walk lasts approximately two hours and starts from Fløyen Active at upper station.

You will be given a bottle of refreshing spring water and a traditional Norwegian chocolate to take with you.
The walking tour can be booked in English or Norwegian, with other languages by request. The walk can be booked from May to September, at least two weeks in advance, by contacting email@example.com. Two weeks’ notice of cancellation is required.
Prices: adult NOK 375, child NOK 275. Tickets for Fløibanen is not included.
Tour operators who use vouchers for groups will receive a discount. The Fløibanen ticketing and entry system means that all passengers must have their own ticket to pass through the gates in the departure hall. On arriving at Fløibanen, the tour guide should go to the ticket office and exchange the voucher for return tickets to distribute to the members of the group. Vouchers can only be exchanged during the ticket office opening hours.
Tour guides can exchange vouchers during ticket office opening hours even if the group is not travelling until the next day.
If the group will be arriving when the ticket office is closed, Fløibanen must be notified in advance. The tour guide must contact the driver in the departure hall to exchange the voucher for tickets. A discount is available when using a voucher. An invoice will be sent to the tour operator after the visit.
